Join us at Reuben's Brews on Saturday May 13th for an away viewing fundraiser! Gorilla has an opportunity to make a lasting contribution to our communities homelessness epidemic. Plans are underway to use charitable contributions to build tiny houses here in Seattle.
Christian Vera-Cadena is Eternal Blue, Forever Green and will be remembered by friends in Gorilla, ECS and La Barra.
His friend Mike says:
Please join us at Fuel Sports Bar on Sunday April 23rd as we celebrate the life of Christian Vera-Cadena.
All proceeds of Fuel’s sales go to Christian’s family to help pay for the funeral cost
The party starts at Noon on Sunday April 23rd as we root on Christian’s favorite team the Seattle Sounders vs the LA Galaxy on 21 flatscreen tv’s and 1 giant projector.
Christian’s friends will be bartending and serving and donating all their tips to the family as well.
We will be having a huge raffle with some awesome prizes. Each raffle ticket is $5 and all those proceeds will go to Christian’s family as well.
RIP Christian, we will never forget the impact you made on so many people.
First Cascadia away game is here! If you're not crossing the border, cheer on our boys in green as they head to the great white north and take on the Whitecaps.
Flatstick serves only Washington beers. Seems like an appropriate spot for a Cascadia game.
Dogs welcome. 21+
Your Sounders get some much needed sunshine - and with LA's recent form, hopefully three points on the road!
Show your Match Pass at Flatstick for even better deals on beer!
Tickets for Vancouver and Portland Away now available to our members, so you can start making your plans to be there to support our team!
The MLS, again, scheduled our away gave vs. PDX during Seattle's Pride weekend (c'mon guys, get it together!), believe you me, we've had words about this with the powers that be. Hoping to avoid a repeat again next season!
Look for tickets in the Merchandise section of this website. Limit two per member.
It's finally, finally here. Our first home game of this Gold Star season!
Gorilla will be at FlatStick Pub before the match, drinking Reuben's Brews and soaking in that championship feeling.
We will also have a table in the stadium for your membership scarves. We can't wait to see you and get this season started.
We are proud to announce Reuben's Brews is Gorilla FC's official brewer!
We first partnered with Reuben's Brews on a co-brew project to benefit Street Soccer Seattle in 2014 (picture). Reuben's is about the stuff we like at GFC, Locally Owned, Community Involved and crazy about soccer. It's a natural fit and a partnership that our members will be proud to support.
We're going to celebrate this new partnership doing what we do best, watching the Sounders while Reuben's does what it does best, pouring awesome locally brewed beer. We'll have a great time and a portion of proceeds will benefit GFC charities.
Watch your Sounders take Montreal down a notch, a valuable service given that those poor deluded folks of Montreal call their tiny primitive hill "Mount Real", while you drink beer to benefit GFC Charities?
See you there.
Did you know that only a scant 4% of U.S. Federal research funding is solely dedicated to childhood cancer research? GFC is teaming up once again to help raise money for this important cause. For the 4th year in a row, we will be shaving our heads for St. Baldricks. Join our team! You can be a shavee or volunteer!
Don't want to shave your head or are already beautifully bald? Please donate as you are able. Our goal is to raise $1500.00 to benefit the St. Baldrick's Foundation's fight against Childhood Cancer.
Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. Help us beat it!
Washington State Legends of Soccer is hosting an evening with Brian Schmetzer
Brian Schmetzer: This is Your Life
We share a proud soccer history here in Washington. Championship teams, World Cup players and world-class fans. As years have passed, much of that history has been lost. However, we are determined to not only capture that history, but make more of it. We want to do more than just remember, we want to celebrate and inspire future generations to build on this history while making their own.
We are the Washington State Legends of Soccer. We are a non-profit organization comprised of individuals who have given greatly to the game, and who want to give some more.
We are inviting you to our Legends 2017 Winter Event, entitled Brian Schmetzer: This Is Your Life. Our Sounders FC head coach brought an MLS Cup to Seattle in his first season and, making it all the more magical, hes homegrown, of course.
February 28 The Market Arms in Seattles Ballard community
(Please note this event is 21+ only)
Through stories from a handpicked group of friends and past teammates,we follow Brians path from Lake City to the original Sounders and all the points of opportunity around the country that finally brought him front and center for Sounders FC.
Admission is free and open to anyone 21+ with valid ID. The program will include a call for donations. Bar and food service will be available. Space is limited and first come, first served. Registering for the event will not guarantee you a seat, so we recommend you come early - doors open at 6. If you do register, you will receive one complimentary ticket in our raffle.
We hope to see you there as we make a little more history.
